i found a few pictures from easter at justin and michelle's house... i didn't get many because the camera failed on me- but here's a few.

i don't know what is going on in this picture... but i love m's face.

easter.

happy easter. lol.

the easter bunny was good to us this year... we are still eating easter candy. and proud to say- we are not still cleaning up that annoying easter grass. maddex got to sit with the easter bunny- and it didn't phase him one bit. prior to the big day- he loved to play with the easter eggs throughout the house. we did our egg dying the day of... i know, i was tired by that time.. but i just couldn't stand the thought of not dying eggs on easter. my mom was always so good at all that when i was a kid- she made the holiday traditions so important to us. maddex was way into finding his basket... he looked all over in the backyard before he found it in the "spare tire" we have laying around. ha. it was also a special day because we got to listen to our great prophet speak to us... and then we went to dinner at justin and michelles.
*thanks to everyone that sent a basket... not only did maddex get to open our easter basket but he also got one from our neighbor, grandma kathy, grandma debbie and aunt michelle (my camera died before i got any pictures of m. with aunt michelle).
we had a great easter. hope you did too.
m. looking for his basket
he started running before i could get in front of him
he grabbed this out and wanted us to open it right away
i would post a picture of me finding mine- but lets just say- it wasn't a good angle. ;)
maddex opening grandma kathys basket:
he was so excited.. don't you love his face. he kept kissing the chick on the front of the box.
opening grandma debbies basket:
this was the first easter basket maddex got so he didn't quite understand why he was allowed to eat so much candy at once, but he wasnt stopping. he was shoveling the jelly beans in so fast. he couldn't even talk or hardly chew he had so many in his mouth.
grandma and pappy dave were there to see it all.

m's halloween concert:

maddex had a halloween concert at pbk. i loved getting him all ready in his costume. he is just the sweetest little... i mean, roughest and toughest little mechanic ;) he totally looked the part. maddex is all boy- so this costume couldn't have been any better. he is constantly carrying around a truck, car, skateboard or train. we don't leave the house w/o at least 3-4 in my purse. the day before halloween is nevada day so there is no work/school. so tanner was able to go with us. he was the only dad out of about 20 women. :)
he is so into peek-a-boo
maddex loves "wheels on the bus"...
tanner took pumpkin carving to a whole new level in our house.
he got down right serious.

*there is actually a story behind this costume... shauna and i were looking at costumes (for the boys) on ebay for days- we couldn't find anything we liked w/o paying over 40 bucks. we would call each other and be like- this one is cute, or what about that one. well, shauna called and said to check out the mechanic one- it is so cute. then we started talking about a different one. well, i slept on the mechanic costume (not knowing she did too) and when i woke up i put a nice big bid on it. i was so excited i called shauna... and come to find out... she was bidding on that one TOO! so we made an fair agreement- i had to go to an appointment so i wouldn't be there to bid again if someone outbid me... so then shauna could bid- but only if i was outbid by someone else... which happened- and then shauna won- by .40 cents! but then sent it to me. what a nice sister. i didn't feel bad considering the next day she got the same one on ebay for about 10 bucks cheaper than mine. :) the boys looked so cute in the same costumes.

4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of July. It was even more special for us because it was a year from the day we brought M. home from the hospital. We started off our day with a {patriotic parade}.. which was very hot. Mustin' came too. I love July 4th- it is such a fun time to get together with family, have bbq's, go swimming, and end such a fun day with fireworks! Which is just what we did. After the parade- we went swimming... and had a bbq (we made grilled onions for the 1st time- which were great). For fireworks... we loaded up the wagon and headed over to the park by our house. It was so fun- we put down a couple blankets... and played some baseball- it reminded me of the old days back in Maryland. Justin, Michelle, Joy and Matt joined us. Maddex loved the fireworks... he was pretty much amazed. It was a great day! & how could I forget Maddie's Golden 4th Birthday

it really does rock!
