i can't believe i have a one year old. the time has flew right by. tanner makes fun of me and says i prepared for m's party for like 3 months, but hey- it was a big deal.maddex's 1st birthday party was by far one of the biggest bashes of our year. :) we decided to go with bright colors and a puppy theme since maddex is slightly in love with puppies. if you ask him what a doggie says.. he will say, "woof.woof"- it's really the cutest thing ever. we have a park by our house that we love so we decided to have it there. we had pizza, salads, and lots of desserts. i think we had almost all the family there- tanners and mine... which is large- about 40 people. thanks again. also- can't forget to mention that my mom, dad and grandma flew in for the birthday party. i loved having them there. we are so grateful to everyone that came to maddex's party, and for all the fun gifts. i've been slightly overwhelmed by the hundreds of pictures we took, but here are a few:
i made this sign for maddex. i was devastated when we couldn't hang it. the beams were to far apart... but we taped it up instead. i loved making it. it will be there for every birthday.. we will just switch out the number.

the cake. maddex wasn't quite sure if he should touch it or not. he kept kind of looking to see if i was going to stop him... but once he realized he was good- nothing stopped him. he was clapping after he would take a bite. i think when it was all said and done.. he ate about 1/4 of it.
one of my favorite things was m's birthday hat. it turned out so cute. i sewed the whole hat. i used ribbon border, fabric and felt. he looked so cute in it.
one thing about maddex- he loves to share his food. he is always feeding someone other than himself. (at McD's the other day he was offering people his fries...)

You could go in to the Party Planning business. What a cute and fun party and the party boy is the cutest kid ever! You are a great mom and I'm glad to have YOU and Maddex in the family. I need some of these pictures...they are sooooo cute. Maybe I can get one of those collages done from Costco.
